(:)
Dear Trials and Tribulations,
I look forward to your visit. I've prepared the guest room as per your liking. I wonder how long you will extend your stay? It's not a pressing matter, it's mostly for Practicality's sake. Feel free to send word closer to your arrival.
Waiting,
Christopher Kristiansen
light-hearted
Dear Morning Sun Creeping Through My Blinds,
I give up. I surrender to your light, your warmth. I will let you pass through my eyelids and force my pupils to contract. I will watch you illuminate every hair on my arm and every particle of dust meandering above me. I submit to your forces and return to sleep.
In a Stupor,
Christopher Kristiansen

Dear Change,
You are a slippery thing. My halfhearted attempts at catching you are over, or at least I'd like to think. For a while, there truly were obstacles keeping us apart. These obstacles, I cannot mention, because they have been revoked of their voice. They now hover, voiceless and powerless, somewhere in the ether. Without them in the way, the opportunity of our marriage is viable, though elusive.
I've been with Habit for so long now. We've grown comfortable, complacent. Our relationship has worked so well for these few years, we really wonder if what you have to offer is worth the risk of coming between us. The old adage goes something like "If it's not broken, don't fix it.", right? If something is fixed, it's inert, and wouldn't being denoted as fixed imply that at one point it was broken? The break I desire is you.
Hope to See You Soon,
Christopher Kristiansen

I find the letter to best the best format through which to convey my desires, idiosyncrasies, and neuroses. The format's formality provides a framework that is limited in form and limitless in how that form is embraced or subverted through content. It is always clear who the author(s) are and to whom they are speaking. These letters, unless otherwise denoted, are to broad groups of people or entities, sometimes to no one in particular and in other cases, everyone in particular. Whether farce or fact, the reader can be sure that it is all information.
